Ingredients:

2 large tomatoes, sliced
8 slices of white bread
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions:

Cut the tomatoes into thick, lumpy slices. Season with salt and pepper then set aside.
On each slice of bread, spread mayonnaise.
Half of the bread slices should include a tomato slice or two (or three, depending on size and amount). Close the sandwiches with the remaining slices of bread and serve.
