Slow Cooker lasagne recipe… never had such a deep lasagne lol… the boy child said it’s the best I’ve made… I’m sure I can hear my relegated oven crying in the corner…


1 finely chopped celery stick
1 grated carrot
1 finely chopped onion
500 grams beef mince
250 grams pork mince
Approx 8 rashers of just cooked pancetta
1-2 tablespoons Parmesan
1 kg Passata
3/4 glass Chianti
Splash of Worcester sauce
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon garlic paste
Mozzarella & Parmesan for layering & top
Pasta sheets
White sauce


Heat a little olive oil in pan and add carrot/onion/celery

Saute for 5 mins

Add garlic and wine and allow to cook out for 5 mins

Add both minces and break down

Add Passata, Worcester sauce, sugar, salt/pepper & Parmesan and allow to simmer for approx 1/2 hr

Stir through pancetta

Sauce is now ready to layer up in slow cooker

I started with a mince layer then pasta, white sauce ( lazy bum used a jar), mozzarella and repeat…

Cook for 4 hours on high.

Add Parmesan & mozzarella top 1/2 hour before end.

Allow pot to sit out of slow cooker for 10 mins before serving so it settles.
